THORFEL’S REVENGE FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE! Brought to you by the creative team of Meredith Finch and Luke Ross, this all-new self-contained story springs from classic Conan mythology as Conan is led to death by the son of a man he had wronged in the past. But stripped of his weapons, his strength, and even his wits, Conan will have to dig deep if he wants to live to see the dawn!

Plus: Continuing the all-new Conan novella “THE SHADOW OF VENGEANCE”!

Above: quality controlled OFFICIAL DBZ t-shirt.

Via Instagram and other media I found that there are person(s) who have produced Dragon Ball Z t-shirts.  Not great just basic designs but very easily identifiable. This person is going to sell the items at a US comic event so I asked whether the items were official.  This is the response:

""No...no they are not. Just trying to pay my rent my dude"

That was followed by comments from people who really did not give a shit that they were not official and so were supporting copyright and creative theft. One even said he didn't care: he wanted one.

This is becoming quite a thing now: won't buy real books and comics but will willingly steal money from the creators by illegally downloading them. That is theft and criminal. It does not matter if DBZ is worth $4 billion or if it is the work of some poor schmuck working in his room/studio and is eating wallpaper for dinner.

It is theft. And you support that then you are scum. Thieving scum.

The excuse "Just trying to pay my rent my dude" does not hold any water. Then make up your own original designs and sell them on t-shirts. If you are serious about working in comics then you take the bad with the good -if you cannot then get out and find a job that pays you so you can pay the rent "dude".

If you are at an event then, before you buy that t-shirt, ask "is this official merchandise?"

I am betting 99.9% of you will not "because I wanted that T!"

Loki Will Hit The Avengers Where It Hurts In 'Avengers: Loki Unleashed!' This September

This fall, prepare for more devilish deviousness by the God of Mischief!

Think back, a few decades back, to the seminal story arc "Avengers: Under Siege." Once the siege on Avengers Mansion was over, it would have been nice if Earth's Mightiest Heroes got to kick back and unwind -- but in this new retelling, Loki is coming back! This September, the God of Mischief returns in AVENGERS: LOKI UNLEASHED! written by Roger Stern with art by Ron Lim. Both creators are legends in the realm of Avengers storytelling, and this time around, they'll be putting our heroes in a pretty dangerous position -- at the mercy of one of their original foes!
AVENGERS: LOKI UNLEASHED! finds the Avengers back during the time when Stern was the series' writer, following the 1980s siege of Avengers Mansion in AVENGERS #270-277. While the Avengers are battered and beaten following the siege, Loki has found a new source of mystical energy, which can only be even more trouble for our heroes.
Here is art by cover artist Patch Zircher:

Even as the sea blockade by the Union Navy slowly strangles the South, the picket ships begin to mysteriously blow up one after another. Lincoln, worried that the war could stretch on too long if the Rebels are resupplied, orders that the Confederates’ secret weapon be identified.

That means sending spies to Charleston, though, in the heart of the enemy’s territory. And who will be the two unlucky fools the brass entrusts with such a dangerous mission … ?

If you don't know which duo then you have never read one of these books! There is the usual slap-stick comedy with Blutch as the 'blindman' pushing a 'crippled' Sarge in a wheel-chair...come on;comedy gold!   Blutch has, because of non-stop combat also developed a death-wish...which oddly has its funny side.

These are not history books but you do learn a few things. They are not something that you do not want your kids to read either -quite the opposite!

It's adventure and fun all the way.  Blutch seems to scream all the way, too!

    Maakika Art and the Book!

Whenever I try to explain to someone the origins of The Maakika I get odd looks. I have no idea why, unless the people I'm explaining this to have no artistic minds and have never known a fevered mind!

However, the story I told on the original Maakika Art site in 2008 is factual. These pieces have been called some of the best work I've done -my comic work getting swiftly dismissed! I'm also told, though I never saw it that way myself until I went through all the pieces again, that the pieces seem to form a type of mythology or at least hint at one.  I'll let YOU decide.
The Origins "What is Maakika Art?"  I get asked that a great deal and to be honest it is a very brief story!
In 2006 I had a serious respiratory infection.  It came and went but,in 2007,it came back with a vengeance over several months and with complications I thought it would see me shift this mortal coil -and I am NOT joking!

Around May, 2007, it got really bad.  Then, suddenly, pouring with sweat, while seated on a bus, my mind started getting a rush of images -maybe 50-60.  I got home exhausted but I sat down and began to draw.  Honestly, at 50 years of age I had drawn many things but these new images were so out of my usual frame of image reference that I was stumped.
I drew a few, sat back and thought "What the bloody hell have I drawn?!" Almost instantly the word "Maakika" [pronounced "Mah-kee-kah"] came into my head.  At the same time I got the definition "solid black and white art under guidance from the Maakika".

Ahh, a fevered mind -and no drugs involved!

I've searched the word on the internet, in books and anywhere else I can but it seems not to exist. I cannot find anything similar.

And with each came a title or description.

So,a divine gift from the Maakika pantheon seems credible!

    And lucky.

The original images are all 21x29cms and though I've not parted with the first "inspired" drawings which look crude to my eye, several were sold for between £150-£300 each.
I still have the original images in my mind [they won't shift!] but I've been inspired to work on larger images [60x42cms].

    According to  one review:
    By J Stransky
"Unique and eye catching. It is equal parts disturbing and wonderful. I've cut a few out and put them in frames on the wall in my work room. They are, I tell you, really quite though provoking. Recommended to someone with an interest in primitive art or hypnosis-state painting. Look at these images deeply for a while, they will seep into your soul."Can you resist?

The Silvermaigne line is said to go back to the time of the Ancient Britons.

Silvermaignes ancestors were part of a druidic clan based in the great forest that is today known as Leigh Woods, overlooking the River Severn entering (today) Bristol. All the members of the tribe had white hair from birth and they were known as the mwng arian (Silver Manes). Even the druids bowed to their knowledge of demons, spirits and things of the darkness.

But at a point several centuries ago the family split and took two paths -one embraced magik for its own fight against evil.  The other renounced the use of personal magik so as not to become tainted and seduced by it.

For the first time Ben Dilworth looks at the latter branch of the Silvermaigne family and what one of them endures to keep the fight Holy!
